Nicole Guidotti-Hernandez serves on the faculty of the University of Texas and as the associate director of its Center for Mexican American Studies. Her research interests include American studies, Latino/a studies, transnational feminisms, critical race studies and borderlands history. She presents a highly original analysis of the Nickelodeon cartoon Dora the Explorer , the immensely popular bilingual children’s program featuring an animated and unforgettable seven-year-old Latina.
